Next week I am speaking at Toronto Code Camp.

by Jean-Rene Roy 27. April 2010 10:15

Next week I am presenting 2 sessions. I will do my MS Sync. Framework and I will present this new session that I call XML in SQL Server! Why bother? This new session is the session I wish I had 2 year ago.  It a session that will show all you need to know about XLS and SQL Server.  It’s also a demo fest with more than 7 demos of XML Schema Collection, For XML, XQuery and Sparse Column.  Plus I adjust this presentation to cover what the developer and the DBA need to know. It will be a must see.

Ottawa IT Day! What a fantastic event.

by Jean-Rene Roy 19. April 2010 09:48

If you miss this event, you really miss something. 20 speakers,   20 sessions. The quality of speakers this year is definitively going up in Ottawa. That is not surprising because the local community here is growing. We now have three UG here and the number of volunteer is growing. When I count all leaders in our community that participate in speaking, organizing, recruiting local talent, we are more than 12 here. Check our the picture: http://www.ottawacodecamp.ca

Colin Melia, Peter Henry and I just completed the lineup for the Ottawa IT Day / Code Camp. This will be the best and the biggest SurprisedCode Camp of Ottawa. We have included a new track for the IT Pro and we changed the name of the event to the Ottawa IT Day / Code Camp. This initiative from the Ottawa community is bigger this year with 20 sessions divided in 4 tracks. We have a brand new IT Pro track including the best speakers of Ottawa, a SQL Server track, a .Net track and a Fantastic Silverlight application track.  We invite you all to come and join us at this free event for a free full day of training.
